We’ve written about Prada‘s beloved Cahier Bag a bunch of times since its debut. Prada has introduced new iterations of the Cahier over the last couple of seasons, and it’s a bag that I still truly adore, and if I could have it all, I would love to add a Cahier to my collection. Bags these days have gotten smaller and smaller, and like many of you, I often sacrifice what I’m carrying in my bag to make a mini bag work. Well…as long as the situation is appropriate, I can make it work. Get back to me in 5 or 6 years, when I’ve got a little person by my side, and I’m sure I’ll be saying otherwise, but for now, I’m willing to get minimal with my necessities in order to rock the mini bag trend.
One question that we receive time after time is what you can actually carry inside the bags that we review and test, and so we’re happy to bring back one of our favorite features to show you all ‘What Fits‘ inside some of the most popular bags of the moment. We took this pretty, mini, metallic version of the Cahier out for a spin and here’s what we were able to pack inside.
– MCM Card Case—my ID, Debit Card and MetroCard inside
– Ray Ban Sunglasses in a thin microfiber cloth pouch (saves me so much room!)
– Mario Badescu Coconut LipBalm
– iPhone with my favorite Edie Parker Rainbow Case
– Smashbox Lipstick
You can see below how exactly I organized the bag to fit all of the above, with a little bit of room to spare on top, which truth be told I would likely use to hold a snack. I never go far from home without a protein bar or nuts in my bag! I also love that this bag has an interior slit pocket, which you could use to hold your ID, credit cards and some cash instead of storing them in a card case, though this key ring card case I have doesn’t take up very much space at all. On any given day I would also throw my headphones in my bag and they would also fit in here no problem.
The bag itself is pretty structured,so though it does expand slightly, when it’s full it’s full, yet at the same time it doesn’t look overstuffed. I love that about the Cahier because I really hate when a bag is too full that it looks like it’s going to burst at the seems. This bag doesn’t do that, which I truly appreciate. The Prada Cahier Crossbody bag is crafted in Italy from metallic leather with contrasting saffiano leather and features a flap closure and detachable leather and chain crossbody strap. Overall dimensions of the small Cahier are 4.5″H x 7″W x 1.8″D. Available for $1,990 via Neiman Marcus, or you can shop the full Cahier line via Prada.
